Hawthorn Dene Holiday Cottages comprise of two charming self catering cottages; Thornleigh adjoing the owners property and Dene Cottage sitting within the grounds. Both cottages have been tastefully restored while retaining much of their original charm and character. Situated on a quite back lane just outside the village centre, they provide an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countyside and attractions of the Peak District National Park.
Lying in the heart of
the beautiful Hope Valley, Hathersage is one of the more interesting
villages in the area, with historical associations to Robin Hood (Little John's grave) and

The village is a popular centre for
walkers, climbers and families being surrounded by stunning countryside and gritstone edges. The centre of the village boasts
numerous outdoor activity outlets as well as several cafes, public houses, local shops, an Indian Restaurant, ATM's and an open air swimming pool (Apr - Oct). For those with children, there is a recreational area near the pool and bowling green.
